did i like the end of the play

No not really it was crazy and confusing because the mother and wife of oedipus killrd herself . and because oedipus saw and didn't like what he saw and put his own eyes out. that was kind of crazy but i guess he wanted to feel the pain and agony his wife and mother felt, so he wanted to kill himself but no one would kill him so he will suffer till death.

My opinion about characters in oedipus

oedipus: he is a person who doesn't find out who he is killing before he does.
kreon: he was hating on oedipus, he wanted to be king and was trying to keep oedipus from king.
tireses: can tell the future, and is a punk because he knew oedipus was the one who killed laios.
jocasta: is a nasty lady who tends to sleep with her own children.
the shepard: always confused and didn't know rather to be on oedipuses side are the people.
Laios: he was the king of thebes who was killed by oedipus.

Summaries of Oedipus,Kreon,Tireseas, and the People

Oedipus : He killed Laios.
He thinks there wasn't any witness when he first did it.
He is the son of Jocasta and Lavis
He knows that everyone is aganst him and there is one person that knows he killed the king of thebes.


Kreon : He knew that oedipu killed the sphinx.
He is against Oedipus.

Priest : He is confused about who killed the king and is hoping for the best.
He knows someone kinows the truth.

Tireseas: He is a blind man who sees the future.
He know who killed the king.
Kreon helped him to remember who killed the king, not knowing he already knew and was on Oedipuses side.
The people : The people are not against oedipus they are with him at first but in the end they shall realize the truth. Some will bring them the truth.

Do I like Oedipus Rex

This play is interesting to me only when there is action and less talking. The only parts that could be more interesting is when the people are trying to find out who killed the sphinx. Then the person who did kill the sphinx is oedipus and he doesn't even know that the person he killed is the king of Thebes. Those were the interesting parts to me. Now the rest of the play it kind of bores me. The only reason is because of the way it is interpreted in a play. It seems like they were writing it in poem kind of form, and the way they talk it is harder to read and understand. If we don't understand what we are reading the teacher would have to explain in the way we could understand, that is most of the boring part. Other than that it was okay in a boring kind of way.
